(FAMILY REVIEW) Early Dismissal Plans: One of the drills our school community must be prepared for is the Early Dismissal Drill. In recent years, we have encountered a variety of situations requiring students to be sent home early (e.g., extended power outages). Having a plan in place is essential to ensuring your child arrives at their destination safely and that families are not left scrambling or panicking.
We will conduct an official early Dismissal in October!
(FYI) Lockdown Drill: This week, we will be conducting our first lockdown drill in partnership with local law enforcement. We encourage you to discuss the purpose of these drills with your student(s) both before and after the drill, reinforcing the importance of safety and preparedness. It’s essential that students understand the seriousness of these exercises. Thank you for your ongoing support in keeping our school safe and prepared.
(FYI) Reminder about Bus Transportation: For safety reasons, students are only permitted to ride the bus to the location you have provided to our transportation department. We cannot send students on a different bus or to a friend’s house. If your child would like to visit a friend after school, they should ride their regular bus home and then arrange for a ride to their friend’s house afterwards. Thank you for helping us keep all students safe and accounted for.(Reminder) 💻 Chromebook Care Reminder: We’ve noticed an uptick in Chromebook damage recently, both intentional (keys being pulled off or screens being hit) and unintentional (devices tossed aside or mishandled in backpacks). Please remind your child to handle their Chromebook with care—these devices are essential learning tools. Most damages are preventable and may result in a fee so the device can be repaired. Thank you for your support in helping students treat their devices responsibly!
