At Wayne Middle School, we deeply value open and honest dialogue between parents, students, and staff. We understand that instances where one person's child is mean to another person's child can cause distress, and we are committed to providing the necessary support to both students and families. By reaching out to us directly, we can work together to address concerns promptly, implement appropriate interventions, and foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
We encourage you to utilize the established communication channels we have in place to report incidents, share your concerns, or seek guidance. Our dedicated team of educators and support staff is readily available to listen, offer assistance, and take appropriate action as needed.
Below are a series of steps you should follow to bring the matter to our attention so it can be resolved:
- Talk directly to the staff member involved (i.e., teacher) - Speak directly to the adult involved. This gives them an opportunity to clear up any misunderstandings or miscommunication.
- Reach out to Counseling Office or Assistant Principals (315-524-1080) - If you feel that the person involved did not handle your concern appropriately, or there isn't a specific person attached to your concern, please contact the Counseling Office or an Assistant Principal. Our counselors and administrators will help work through issues with students or adults.
- Contact the Principal (315-524-1080) - If you still feel the issue has not been handled or resolved, contact the Principal.
