New York residents ages 13 and older can get a digital library card through the New York Public Library's online card application and gain access to an array of digital resources. ***Make sure to TAKE A SCREENSHOT of your Library Card Number and Password for your records and to add it to your SORA Account***
Digital Library Cards for Kids
Patrons 12 and under can apply for a digital library card with a parent or guardian through the NYPL free e-reader app SimplyE.

Once you have your new NYPL account number and password, you can add the NY Public Library to your SORA App in the same way you add any other library, from the dropdown menu in the upper left corner, click the green Add Library button and search for New York Public Library. You will be asked for your NYPL Account number and Password only once... the first time you check out materials.
